The MM Patriot is a corded mosquito trap. It is the least expensive in the Mosquito Magnet line.	The MM Independence is a cordless mosquito trap. No external electrical power is needed.	The MM Executive is cordless and rechargeable. You can set operation times. An LCD panel offers enhanced diagnostics and 5 different user-friendly setting options including 4 that extend a tank of propane tank up to 30 days.

The Mosquito Magnet Patriot is easy to use. After installing the propane tank and optional attractant, just plug it in, push the button. A 50-foot 12-volt power cord, supplied with the Patriot, allows placement away from the family area yet near the mosquitoes' breeding and resting areas. It starts catching right away. It will continue to reduce the population as it runs.	The Mosquito Magnet Independence requires no power cord. Like all Mosquito Magnets, it is particularly good for Asian Tigers and Sand Flies, midges, etc. The heavy-duty plastics and marine grade metals make it ideal for any harsh environments. The Independence also has wheels allowing you to move it easily.	It can differentiate day and night and automatically start-up/power-down the trap when the temperature is above or below 50° when mosquitoes breed. The Executive will let you know when the battery is low, the propane is out or even when the propane nozzle is clogged! The new net allows for easy disposal, eliminating any interaction with insects.

How the Mosquito Magnet Works

Mosquito Magnets are the #1 selling traps in America. They have recently become very reliable and have great support. See their new 360 support program below. They are all odorless, silent, and operate 24 hours per day. They all have heavy duty construction and can perform in all weather conditions. They have always been the gold standard, particularly when new. With their design revisions and new support, they are once again among the best in the business. All Mosquito Magnet traps use the patented Counterflow Technology. This allows the trap to emit a precise plume of CO2, heat, and moisture that attracts the biting insects to the trap, while simultaneously vacuuming them into a net where they dehydrate and die within 24 hours. This is lower to the ground than other traps, so it is particularly good for Asian Tigers, midges, sand flies and other biting insects that fly low. It vacuums the insects up rather than down or in.

The Mosquito Magnet mimics a large mammal by emitting a plume of carbon dioxide, heat and moisture, which when combined with an additional attractant, Octenol or Lurex3, becomes irresistible to mosquitoes, no-see-ums, biting midges, black flies and more. By using one of these approved Mosquito Magnet attractants your catch rate can increase up to 10X over CO2 alone.

Trap Placement
The trap must be properly sited to work effectively. Mosquitoes find targets first by smell. Mosquitoes can smell CO2 at over 100 ft, but only see objects from around 30 ft. So you want the CO2 from the trap between you and the mosquitoes. The trap should be at least 35 feet away from the nearest person or animal, or they will go towards them rather than the trap. Here is a short video that shows how to place your trap.
